They range from wine-tasting in our boutique vineyards, to tours to exploring the history of the region, and its gold rush, or the filming of Lord of the Rings. The more active can try sky- diving, white-water rafting, para-gliding or Bungy-jumping, or tramping, then relax in a hot spa afterwards.

You can take a scenic flight to Milford Sound, or a jet-boat ride up the Dart River. Many people enjoy a cruise on the lake in our historic steam ship, to see sheep dog and shearing demonstrations and have afternoon in a beautiful High Country Homestead. We are close to world class golf courses, ski fields and a state of the art aquatic centre.

Or you can simply enjoy one of the many lovely walks in the area.
